Or is it just another scam? And like most people you are probably wondering if they are true. Can you really get paid to take surveys online? Or are paid surveys just another scam? Surprisingly, the answer is yes. You can actually get paid to take surveys online. There are many companies that will pay you to participate in online surveys, focus groups, and even product tests. These are market research companies that are paid by large companies to find out what the public feels about their products. They want to know if their advertising campaigns are working and how everyday people feel about their products. Large corporations spend billions of dollars a year on advertising. So to pay you a few dollars to find out if their advertising is working is not that big of a deal. So they hire these market research companies. I got started back with the free survey circuit a while back when I was looking for ways to earn a little money on the side. I came across an ad to get paid to take free surveys. So I thought, "okay, it's a scam but I'll look at it." It was free to join so I figured I had nothing to lose. And I didn't. But I did realize that there are a TON of these sites out there and there wasn't much information available other than people in forums trying to sign up referrals. So I thought I would put together this site and dedicate it to my research about all of the sites I've found and what they do. Everything listed on this site is my opinion only. I've tried to give a review of the site from an objective standpoint to provide you the most information possible.

Affiliate Marketing

In my travels across the vast realm of surveys online, I've discovered affiliate marketing. My first thought on the topic is 'Good Lord this is the most confusing thing I've ever seen in my life!' However, I've come to realize that it's only confusing because I'm not famaliar with it. I've also decided that if I'm confused, I'm sure there are others that are confused as well so I'm on a quest to pass along what ever information I can about affiliate marketing to anyone that happens along this site. The goal in this is that we'll all be less confused and will have found one more venue in which to make a little extra money - hopefully.

Okay, so let's break it down.

What is an affiliate program?

An "affiliate program" - or "associate program" - is a relationship in which a merchant pays you (the "affiliate") for links from your site to his site. Usually, the affiliate is paid only when an actual sale is made by the merchant as a result of your link. Basically, you - the affiliate - posts a link on your website, people come, and once they - the customers - click on that link and buy the product, you get some commission. Cool huh?

How does affiliate marketing work?

Okay guys, here's the meat and potatoes.

First off, you gotta have a website. You can't sell some else's stuff on the internet if you don't have one. A popular trend now is to use a blog.

Now that you have your website, you need traffic. You also can't sell some else's stuff if now one can find you.
